Equine influenza ab

Equine influenza (EI) is an acute, highly contagious, viral disease which can cause rapidly spreading outbreaks of respiratory disease in horses and other equine species.

Test to detect the presence of Equine Influenza Virus (EIV) using PCR technology. Equine Influenza is a highly contagious respiratory disease in horses caused by strains of the Influenza A virus. PCR is a highly sensitive and specific method for identifying EIV RNA in clinical samples, allowing for rapid and accurate diagnosis. Clinical signs include  acute respiratory symptoms, fever, cough, nasal discharge and can result in rapid spread through the yard.

Samples are to be taken as:
Nasal Swab (Individual or Pool 1-3)
